For over three decades, Alan V Walker has been capturing the essence of dogs, making him one of the most experienced canine photographers in the UK. His remarkable talent has earned him numerous accolades, including being awarded Pawscars photographer of the Year in 2014 and 2017. He is also a proud member of the World Dog Press Association.

Alan's journey began in 1985, when he started working for Our Dogs, where he had the privilege of photographing some of the finest and most famous dogs in the industry. His exceptional skills in photography led him to produce stunning black and white images in his own darkroom, with the able assistance of his wife, Kath. Even though he transitioned to digital photography in 2003, his artistic flair and technical expertise continue to shine through in his work.

Alan's lifelong passion for dogs has seen him involved in various activities, including showing Old English Sheepdogs, Miniature Schnauzers, and standard Schnauzers. His experience as a ringcraft trainer, judge, and Chairman of Coventry (Foleshill) C. A. has further solidified his connection to the canine world.

Over the years, Alan has worked with various publications, including Dog World, where he contributed to the magazine from 2010 until its demise in 2017. He was also involved in the launch of K9 News Ltd, a glossy magazine that reported on shows online, which received positive feedback from readers.
