Welcome to Tilly White Photography, a family-oriented photography studio based in Bolton. We are dedicated to capturing the authentic moments of your babies, children, and family. Our award-winning photographer, Lydia, believes in the importance of treasuring those genuine moments that reflect your loved ones' fun and happy personalities.

At Tilly White Photography, we offer a relaxed, private studio that allows you and your little ones to feel right at home. We understand that young children may not always cooperate during photo shoots, and we are more than happy to take our time to ensure that everyone is comfortable and happy. We believe that natural colours and simplistic settings help to highlight the true beauty of your family. Our studio is equipped with everything needed to create beautiful portraits, and we offer a wide range of neutral props to enhance your photos.

Our Story

Tilly White Photography is the brainchild of Lydia, a passionate photographer and mother. After spending years working in unfulfilling careers, Lydia discovered her love for family photography and decided to turn her hobby into a business. She spent time working freelance for a photography business, where she learned the ins and outs of studio photography. In 2019, Lydia took the leap and made her dream come true.

The name "Tilly White" has a special meaning for Lydia. Growing up, she named all of her pets Tilly, and she wanted her brand to have a friendly and personal touch. The name Tilly White was the perfect fit.

We understand that you may have questions about our services, and we are more than happy to answer them. Here are some frequently asked questions:

• What props, clothes, and toys do you use? We have a variety of props, clothes, and toys in natural colours and styles. We mostly use natural wooden toys to help capture your babies and children playing in some of our shots.
• Should I bring anything to the session? We recommend bringing your usual "mummy Mary Poppins bag" with milk, food, snacks, and anything else that will help get your little ones laughing and smiling. We keep the studio pretty toasty, so please make sure you are wearing comfortable layers.
• What happens if my baby isn't happy? Don't worry - most of our little clients have a meltdown at some point. We take our time to make everyone feel comfortable and at home from the moment you walk into the studio. We spend time playing and exploring before we start taking any images.
• What should we wear? We recommend simple natural colours such as white, beige, and brown. Avoid logos and bold prints.
• When will we see our images? Around 1-2 weeks after your shoot, we will send you a link to your private online viewing gallery. You can sit down and relax in the comfort of your own home and decide on your favourites and products. There is no hard sell, and you are free to order only what you LOVE!
• Can I take my own pictures at the session? We kindly ask that you don't take any pictures on your own devices as some devices have been known to affect our lighting and sound equipment.

Prices

All photography sessions include use of our studio with access to clothing, wooden toys, and materials. We require a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable and is required to secure your booking - it covers our time in the studio, as well as editing time after your session. Your full balance will be due on the day of your session.
